Add a mod each time the health falls, and you’ll have your weapon last as long as possible, with those damage-boosting mods being used to their fullest. To make the most of your upgrades you should find a weapon you like, use it to take some durability off, and then add a mod whenever you degrade that weapon enough for the mod to heal it to a decent extent. Note that you can’t install another mod once all the slots are full, so your weapon will eventually break. Every individual mod restores 50 durability points, so that makes a total of +150 durability if the weapon has three modification slots. As long as you have the necessary components, you can add a mod to your weapon, and this will also restore some of the weapon’s durability in the process. Repair weapons in Dying Light 2 by installing weapon mods. Some weapons – usually the better ones – can hold up to three mod slots, and you can buy blueprints for new mods from vendors dotted around the map. If you do want to hold on to your favorite weapon in Dying Light 2, the solution is through upgrades. Luckily you will be finding new weapons all the time – and will likely often find yourself with more weapons than you can actually carry – but that doesn’t ease the sadness you feel when your weapons break and disappears permanently. Dont even get me started on upgrading weapons which I can only repair once or twice. You can’t dismantle weapons in Dying Light 2, but you will quickly find yourself lacking the materials and components you need to craft mods, especially if you’re crafting regularly. I dont mind things breaking, and I like the idea of having to have items and cost to repair, but I HATE the idea that I can only reapir X number time times. You will quickly notice in Dying Light 2 that your weapons take damage with each use, and they can end up breaking entirely fairly quickly. Yes Im early game, and read it gets better, but I just cant stand the repair system in this game.
